Intratissue percutaneous electrolysis (EPI®) treatment is an actual ultrasound-guided technique that leads to a non-thermal electro chemical ablation through a cathodic flow directly at the clinical focus of degeneration. EPI® causes an organic reaction leading to a highly localized inflammation, exclusively at the region of treatment that conduces to a rapid regeneration of the injured tendon.
