It looks like shell of snail so I created it by my imagination. Microscopically all 2.75 turns are around modiolus and further it has been divided into 3 parts. So from education and surgical purpose it is very helpful not only for residents, medical students (microscopic anatomy) but patients also where cochlear implant is required. As our ENT department is doing cochlear implant surgery for patients who had profound sensorineural hearing loss and before surgery to give education regarding implant, I thought this painting will give a better understanding (Figure 1).
