Coloboma is a defect which can affect various ocular tissues like eyelids, iris, lens, ciliary body, retina, choroid, optic nerve. Iris coloboma is
typically located inferonasally can be unilateral or bilateral often associated with microphthalmia. Incidence of ocular coloboma is 0.5-2.2 cases
per 10,000 live births can be inherited or sporadic in nature [1]. Types of iris coloboma include: Typical type where it occurs in the inferonasal
quadrant due to defective closure of embryonic fissure. Atypical coloboma can be present anywhere other than inferonasal quadrant and the
embryologic basis in unclear. Bridge variety of iris coloboma where coloboma is bridged by iris tissue making the pupil complete [2].
